Dear Diary,
Today I inquir’d the witches to reveal the truth behind their prophecies. They summoned three apparitions, all related to the horrid images that doth unfix my hair. The first one was an armed head. It spoke: “Macbeth, Macbeth! Beware of Macduff. Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me. Enough.”(IV, I, 71-72) I felt frightened because Macduff is someone I fear right now. He is very suspicious about King Duncan’s murder, and might find out the truth. Soon after, the second apparition appeared. This time, it was a bloody child. It said:“Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth- Be bloody, bold, and resolute. Laugh to scorn. The power of man, for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth.”(IV, I,79) After hearing this I felt relieved that no man is able to harm me. To conclude, the third and final apparition came into view. It was a child crowned, with a tree in his hand. It stated: “Be lion-mettled, proud, and take no care. Who chafes, who frets, or where conspirers are. Macbeth shall never banquished be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him.”(IV,I,93)Who can “impress the forest, bid the trees and unfix his earthbound root?”(IV, I, 95-96) ‘Tis ridiculous. I was satisfied until my eyes encountered a dreadful sight. ‘Twas eight kings; the last with a glass in his hand and Banquo’s ghost following. My mind is puzzled about this vision. I demand the reality. I suppose my next step has been made clear. Lennox informed me that Macduff has fled to England. Fear not, I shall take care of his wife and children.

Macbeth
Dear Diary,
My kingdom is revolting against me! But why, I am the greatest King, no one is better than me and I shall remain as king till the brightest of stars burn out. I have killed everyone that I respected, and drove them insane with revenge. What happens if all my bloody murders will come back to haunt me. Hah! I shall not fear death but death shall fear me because till Birnam Woods move to Dunsinane I shall conquer death. What! Impossible, Birnam woods it cannot be. The trees, the tress! There moving how could that be, trees do not move. Are those darned images in my head or are they real. My mind has gone mad with murder. I do not believe what I see, I am to stay king and my rain is too come to an end. I shall never be dethroned by withering humans I will slay anyone who comes within my grasp. Those babbling witches they have tricked me, made me follow my darkened ambitions how dare they I am the great Macbeth. Hell shall take those snivelling witches beyond the dark stars of those murderous nights, but wait the other prophecy I cannot be slain, by another whom is women born. Atlas I shall rain as King for years to come because I am the great Macbeth. I dare anyone to come to my castle and challenge my rain. I will take them by their necks and unsex them because I am the only man great enough to be king.
Signed,
Macbeth
Dear Diary,
I stand here today with so much of stress and turmoil. The only image that I can envision in my mind is being crowned King. I can imagine myself with that beautiful golden crown gently resting on my head as people refer to me no more as Macbeth but as King Macbeth. Oh, how I powerfully they say, all hail King Macbeth, all hail King of Scotland. However there are several obstacles that I have to face. The first obstacle is the one who holds that position which will soon be mine, Duncan. Oh lord, the only way to be crowned king is by sending Duncan off to heaven with my very hands. But preparing for his death, how do I do that without getting caught? Oh, I feel as if my soul is leaving my body. I feel like a blood thirsty bat. However something deep down from within summons me to perform the act with all the will power that I have.
Oh my dear God. Look what I have done! I have blood all over my hands and a deep hole in my soul. Oh if all the angels gave me their powers it still would not clean me of this deed. I just placed the bloody dagger by the side of the sleeping grooms. The words coming out of my mouth can do nothing but describe how I feel.
I placed the knives by the groom
Life for me is nothing but doom
Neptune’s Oceans can’t wash my hands of blood
While the blood in Duncan’s body flows like a flood
There is Horror In my soul
And in my heart there is a hole
I am a traitor and a thief
My life is full of painful grief
I am not just a traitor
I am also a foolish hater
But now I will be king
Forget what is done
Let’s make joy and sing
Signed,
Macbeth

Dear Diary,
Today, Banquo and I stumbled upon three strange creatures. When I saw them I was very shocked at their appearances. I did not know if they were human. But I got even more shocked, when one of them said,” All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, thane of Glamis!” I was scared that they knew my name and even more that they knew my title. Everything got scarier as every second passed by. Then they proclaimed, “All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, thane of Cawdor!” This was very shocking, because the Thane of Cawdor still lived. Then the most unexpected thing happened, the last creature said, “All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!” That title belongs to Duncan. How can I get this title? I froze in time. My valiant partner, Banquo, then questioned them. Then they said, “Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none.” If I were King, then my sons would not, but Banquo’s would be. I was overwhelmed by what these creatures said. I had to know more, but they left before I could interrogate them even more. I was very intrigued so I started talking about it with Banquo. But then the unbelievable occurred, where Ross and Angus arrived. They arrived and told me that I had become the Thane of Cawdor. Can these witches be true? Two of their predictions were true; will the last one also be true?At that moment, I started having malicious visions of killing Duncan. Will I be King?

Picture: Bloody Crown
This picture symbolizes Macbeth's perception of getting the throne. His perception is that he has to kill Duncan in order to get the throne. Killing Duncan is Macbeth's malicious bloody victory.
Music: Dirty Little Secret - The All-American Rejects
I chose this song, because Macbeth has a "dirty little secret." In the music video, many different people hold up cards. The cards say their "dirty little secret," which is embarrassing, shocking or funny. If Macbeth was in this music video, he would be holding up a card saying, "I want to kill my King, because three witches told me I would become King!"
